**Position Overview**

Training Services provides services that build self-sufficiency for women through education, life skills workshops, pre-employment training and case management support. The Program Facilitator works across all programs in Training Services and conducts workshops both at our location and in the community. We are seeking a dynamic, engaging and passionate Program Facilitator.

Key Contributions

**Integrated Employment Services**:

- Facilitate Employment Support workshops to support clients to find and maintain employment
- Follow up with participants and provide counselling and support to clients towards their individual goals
- Facilitate group and one to one service delivery to help clients achieve their goals of employment
- Provide ongoing, face-to-face and virtual pre-employment support, including career counseling, job search training, skill-building, work preparation, and related services as outlined in the Employment Action Plan.
- Have knowledge of current local labour market trends, community services, and resources across the City of Toronto
- Deliver intake, common assessment, and collaborative development of individualized employment action plan, which captures activities, goals and pre-employment services required to progress the client towards employment

**Literacy Program**:

- Facilitates diverse, client-centered adult literacy, and life skills workshops, tutoring, referrals, and consultations for women at various stages of the educational pathway.
- Pathways to Independence Program:

- Delivers workshops to women in areas of life skills, self-care, financial literacy and housing support among other topics
- Facilitates Successful Housing and Life Skills Workshops to all recently housed clients
- Provides programming and initiatives that address client isolation in the community

**General**:

- Provide general programming supports, including planning, development and implementation of educational and training initiatives

**Key Competencies**
- Post-secondary education in a related field in the Social Services, Social Sciences, or Adult Education.
- 2-3 years’ experience developing and facilitating educational and pre-employment programming, including workshops with small groups.
- Experience with Employment Ontario Employment Supports programs a strong asset
- EOIS CAMS experience an asset.
- Experience using all Microsoft programs, with expertise in Excel, and maintaining up to date client files that ensure confidentiality and accuracy.
- Knowledge and understanding of issues affecting homeless and socially isolated women, (i.e. addictions, mental illness, and the effects of poverty and trauma), and community resources to provide support and referrals.
- Skills in conflict resolution and crisis intervention and demonstrated ability to assess and respond appropriately to emergent situations.
- Must have up to date First Aid/CPR C Training or be willing to re-certify.
- Must work within a client-centred framework, and demonstrate practice of ethical and professional boundaries.

**Personal Attributes**
- Strong organizational management skills, meeting deadlines and managing multiple priorities
- Demonstrated experience of working within an Anti-Racism Anti-Oppression and Trauma Informed framework.
- Innovative and self-starter with ability to understand and maintain client/volunteer/worker boundaries.
- Must be adaptable and have a collaborative work ethic with all colleagues.
- Strong written and public speaking skills.
- Able to work in teams and independently

**Hours of Work**

This is a full time 1 year position for 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with the possibility of extension.
