The Project Analyst Team Lead is part of the controls team within the PMO, which provides the organization with project-related data for effective decision-making. The Team Lead oversees a team of project analysts, ensuring accurate and timely project reporting. The role acts as a key liaison between project teams, finance, senior leadership, and other department stakeholders. The Team Lead will support continuous improvement initiatives within project financial and performance measurement domains.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide leadership, mentorship and training to the analyst team members to foster an environment of continuous improvement and collaboration.
- Promote continuous improvement in data collection and efficiency, particularly in using existing tools (Epicor, etc.) more effectively.
- Utilize analytical tools and techniques to gather, analyze and interpret project data and provide insights and recommendations to various stakeholders to support decision-making.
- Collaborate and interface with internal stakeholders to develop cross-functional workflows, ensuring the data inputs to financial reporting are accurate and available when required.
- Develop standard operating procedures and training materials for project financials.
- Ensure the quality of the team’s deliverables through review and validation and implement quality assurance methodologies to maintain high work quality.
- Attend monthly project reviews and track actions related to fiscal performance.

KNOWLEDGE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: Bachelor's degree in business or finance.
- A CPA is considered an asset.
- Experience: 5 to 10 years of relevant work experience in a project controls environment, with 2 - 3 years leading a team in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
- Highly accurate; detail and deadline-oriented
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills and Excel
- Sound knowledge of accounting principles and ERP software; Epicor would be an asset.
- Familiarity with project concepts, contracts, and change order documents
