Here we grow again We are hiring experienced customer driven servers for our Food & Beverage Department at the Delta Hotels by Marriott London Armouries. Server will be required to work the restaurant, bar, in-room dining and banquets. Must be available to work day/evenings as well as weekends & holidays.
- Work all 3 areas of the food & beverage department In Room Dining, Banquets and Restaurant
- Must have bartending experience
- In Room Dining will take the food and beverage orders up to hotel room
- Banquets will be serving weddings and conferences
- Restaurant will be taking care of guests in the Armouries Grille Restaurant
- Prepares the Food & Beverage service areas for service (i.e. setting the tables with proper linen, cutlery and glassware).
- Takes food and beverage orders from guests using the point of sale system
- Presents orders to Kitchen for preparation, utilizing the point of Sales System, outlining any special dietary requirements.
- Delivers food and beverages to guests with necessary accompaniments according to the service standards of the meal period with an emphasis on guest service and satisfaction following Delta Standards.
- Employs suggestive selling techniques and up sells with every order, recommending specials, wine, dessert, and cocktails.
- Anticipates guest requirements and guest needs thereby improving the standard of service.
- Presents guest checks in a timely fashion for payment.
- Ensures correct coupon, cash, and credit card handling when closing out guest checks. Verifies with Manager if any uncertainties arise.
- Maintains the cleanliness and tidiness of the room (i.e. replaces dirty ash trays, resets furniture, etc.).
- Reconciles cash receipts to sales receipt for daily deposit to the General Cashier.
- Restocks service items, cutlery, glassware, and resets the section for the next shift.
- Ensures that guests requesting beverage service are of legal age.
- Assists any patron or guest when necessary to exit the room and building to ensure their safe departure.
- Attends and contributes ideas to departmental meetings and training & development sessions.
- Takes direction and supervision from the Restaurant Manager and Supervisors.
- Complies with Hotel policies and procedures.
- Performs other tasks as assigned by Management.
