Dispatcher required for smaller but busy trucking company. Customers contact us to move equipment. Dispatcher is responsible for organizing and executing the delivery of equipment within Winnipeg and surrounding communities as well as locations in and around rural Manitoba.
The Dispatcher will ensure all trips are coordinated, company resources are optimized, and customer needs are being fully met and/or exceeded.
The Dispatcher will work with Drivers to ensure 100% compliance with Transportation Safety Plan policies and procedures, while ensuring professional on-time service on pick-ups and deliveries.
- Responsible for developing the daily schedules of deliveries and pickups for 8 flat bed units
- Arrange and Secure delivery appointments with customers;
- Dispatches all city trucks and trailers according to appointments in a manner that meets service and efficiency standards;
- Verify that drivers know and adhere to their schedules and maintain contact with drivers during deliveries;
- Plans schedule to ensure that loads are consolidated to the maximum possible extent, including effective coordination of pickups and deliveries;
- Responsible for resolving any driver issues related to scheduling or other matters;
- Responsible for resolving any paperwork issues with drivers upon check in or check out;
- Responsible for processing all paperwork related to receiving and dispatching trips;
- Establishes and maintains a professional working relationship with drivers and their companies;
- Responsible for providing customers estimates for deliveries, sending invoices and maintaining accurate billing records.
