**JOB DESCRIPTION**:
We are looking for our future Controller who will lead our accounting and finance team for all activities in Canada and the US.

Reporting to the general manager and the CEO, the financial controller will be directly involved in all accounting and finance related activities of the company, including financial policies, practices and controls.

This position is accountable for the accounting operations of the company, including the production of periodic financial statements and reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk.

**DESCRIPTION OF TASKS**:

- Support and analyze the monthly and annual financial planning process;
- Manages all activities of the accounting-finance department;
- Acts as a chartered accountant;
- Analyze the results of the business units and at the consolidated level to ensure accuracy as well as to identify financial trends and drivers;
- Participate in the management of the financial, operational and strategic performance of the business units;
- Acts as a resource person for external auditors;
- Identify opportunities for gross margin and operating profit growth and then work in collaboration with the many stakeholders on solutions and actions;
- Evaluate, question and then improve financial transparency as well as the efficiency of business processes;
- Analyzes financial reports and alerts senior management to any critical trends in the company's financial performance by making recommendations;
- Support the management of the complete accounting cycle of the business units and at the consolidated level;
- Issue numerous financial reports, identify performance highlights and present monthly financial information to senior management;
- Manage the month-end and year-end process;
- Consolidate the financial statements of the business units;
- Assist external consultants for corporate taxes as well as the company's tax department;
- Ensure continuous improvement and integration of new tools and processes;
- Supervises and manages the work of his team (4 people) by giving them the necessary support and guidance in relation to the company's objectives and policies;
- Other related tasks.

**REQUIRED training**:

- Bachelor of Finance

**REQUIRED EXPERIENCE**:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in the manufacturing environment, for a public company;
- CPA accounting designation (an asset);
- Very good experience with ERP systems;
- Very good skills with Microsoft Excel software;

**Languages**:

- Bilingual - French and English;
