As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and creative **Communication and Marketing Consultant** to lead our marketing and public relations efforts. This role will play a key part in shaping our brand identity, supporting enrollment growth, and strengthening relationships with families, staff, and the broader community.
**Position Summary**
The **Communication and Marketing Consultant** is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing all marketing and communication strategies for Kittens’ Mittens Child Care Ltd. This includes overseeing digital and print marketing, social media, public relations, and community outreach activities to enhance brand awareness and engagement.
This is a **full-time position** based in **Edmonton**, with the option to work hybrid after onboarding.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Build and maintain relationships with local organizations, partners, and media contacts.
- Support internal communications, recruitment marketing, and staff engagement campaigns.
- Create high-quality written and visual content that reflects the organization’s tone and values.
- Oversee advertising campaigns and brand consistency across all materials and locations.
- Organize and promote events, open houses, and family/community engagement initiatives.
- Monitor marketing analytics and prepare reports on campaign performance.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive annual marketing and communications plan.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to align communication strategies with organizational goals.
**Qualifications and Requirements**
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in **Marketing, Communications, Public Relations**, or a related field.
- Minimum of **3 years of experience** in a marketing or communications role (child care, education, or non-profit experience is an asset).
- Proven success in managing digital content and marketing strategies.
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
- Experience using design and marketing tools such as **Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Mailchimp, and Meta Business Suite**.
- Knowledge of SEO, analytics, and advertising best practices.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.
- Professional, approachable, and family-centered communication style.
