The **Milestones Grill + Bar restaurant at Marriott on the Falls** is looking for an entrepreneurially minded, dynamic and hands on **Restaurant General Manager** who has a passion for enhancing the guest experience and leading our food and beverage service team. This position also works closely with the Culinary and Front of the House teams to provide a seamless experience for our guests. Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

- Responsible for managing/monitoring the day-to-day operations of restaurant and food and beverage outlets to ensure standards of product presentation and service exceeds our guests’ expectations.
- Manages subordinate managers/supervisors in all restaurant food and beverage areas.
- Responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training team members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining team members; addressing complaints and resolving problem.
- Ability to achieve budgeted revenues, control expenses and maximize profitability.
- Ensure quality and portion control while minimizing waste or loss of supplies to maintain profitability.
- Ensure guests receive outstanding, consistent, exceptional service by circulating through each dining area and seek opportunities to improve satisfaction, and immediately handle any guest concerns or complaints.
- Creates and monitors SOPs to ensure consistent exceptional service is provided and assists in developing and updating policies and procedures.
- Other Other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
- Five or more years of related and progressive Food & Beverage experience with three years as a Manager in a Hotel or similar setting.
- Degree or Diploma in Hospitality or Business Management and/or proven personal commitment to professional development an asset.
- You possess solid knowledge of restaurant management, service standards of comparable hotel, guest relations and etiquette (i.e., both professional demeanor and personal appearance).
- You are customer focused and able to meet external guest requirements as well as internal organizational expectations
- You have the financial acumen and can analyze data to improve performance
- You have the ability to drive results in order to manage budgets and meet deadlines.
- You have the ability and experience in successfully leading and coordinating staff in a high volume during peak times, time-sensitive environment.
- You have the ability to monitor labor as required by anticipated business activity while ensuring that positions are staffed when and as needed and labor cost objectives are met.
- You are willing and able to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. Work schedules will include working on holidays, weekends, and alternate shifts.
- You are able to speak, read, write and understand English to communicate with management, team members and guests.
- You possess strong knowledge Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, PowerPoint as well as Point of sales systems.
- You are highly collaborative, organized and strong attention to detail.
- You possess a current Food Handler certification.
