**The Role**

The HR Generalist role is integral to delivering seamless and professional HR service through providing comprehensive support including administrative and coordination support. You will work under the Director of Human Resources to support the employees and managers in all divisions of Excel Homes.

**The Responsibilities**:

- Processing and communicating benefits programs, including RRSP plans and, in collaboration with our Safety Team, WCB case management where required
- Provide Back-up to payroll where necessary
- Maintain and update HR records and data bases, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Provide support for managers and employees on areas including employment standards, employee queries, concerns and policy administration, escalating escalate complex issues as appropriate
- Prepare and deliver monthly and quarterly reports, data summaries, and presentations for HR metrics and initiatives; manage compliance tracking (mandatory training etc.,)
- Coordinate HR events and engagement activities such as wellness programs and employee survey

- Conduct termination meetings and exit interviews with departing employees.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of HR processes and documentation
- Provide general administrative support to the HR team
- Support other ad-hoc HR projects and initiatives as directed by the HR Director

**Now Let’s Talk About You**:

- Post secondary education (Human Resources, Business Administration or related)
- 5 + years of experience in an HR Generalist role
- Certified Professional Human Resources (CPHR) an Asset
- Familiarity with employment law basics and HR best practices
- Intermediate level of understanding in Payroll and Payroll/HR Software (UKG specifically)
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- A proactive and approachable attitude with a willingness to learn - motivated self starter
