1. JOB PURPOSE:
As a member of Fix Auto’s customer survive team, the estimator plays a key role in maintaining superior customer service and satisfaction. They are to write thorough and accurate estimates as per insurance company guidelines as to not disrupt vehicle production.

2.:
As one of the customer’s first points of contact, the estimator plays a crucial role in building customer relationships, bringing in new and repeat business, and providing accurate information to all questions the customer may have. The estimator will support customers in the education of the damages to their vehicle and Fix Auto’s processes in repairing the damage. The estimator will also support a customer’s repair through to completion by providing updates and communication through the entire process, coordinating with relevant third parties (insurance companies, etc.), and accepting payments and final walk-through inspections to customers. Executing the highest level of professionalism through customer service is essential to an estimator’s role.

3. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Maintain superior customer service and satisfaction
- Write thorough and accurate estimates as per insurance guidelines
- Interact with insurance companies by sending files, checking deductibles, etc.
- Book in customer using the hourly scheduler provided and book rentals as needed
- Source and order parts
- Scan any required documents into Repaircentre file (assignment/customer notes)
- Relay any customer requests directly to the production manager
- Manage work authorizations and parts orders for repair orders
- Finalize and close files in a timely manner
- Quality control repairs before customer delivery
- Deal with minor customer complaints in an efficient and courteous manner

4. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:
EDUCATION
- High School Diploma

EXPERIENCE
- Experience working in a customer service role
- A minimum of 2 years working as an estimator or in a related role

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE
- Ability to assess and explain thoroughly
- Problem solving and thinking outside the box abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Microsoft Office Suite and general computer skills
