**Position Summary**

**This role could be a full-time opportunity 8am to 4:30pm or part-time 9am to 2pm - perfect for a working parent**

**Key Responsibilities**

**Data Entry and Postings**
- Enter invoices and expense reports into the accounting system with precision.
- Match invoices to purchase orders and verify accuracy.
- Post accounts payable transactions and ensure they are coded correctly to the general ledger.

**Accounts Payable Support**
- Request invoice approval from appropriate parties, following up when necessary to achieve deadlines.
- Assist in reconciling vendor statements to ensure all payments and credits are applied correctly.
- Communicate with vendors to resolve billing discrepancies and inquiries.

**Documentation and Record Keeping**
- Maintain organized and accurate records of all accounts payable transactions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures for approvals and documentation.
- Assist in preparing reports related to accounts payable activity as needed.

**Team Collaboration**
- Work closely with the accounting team to support month-end closing activities.
- Provide assistance with other administrative tasks and accounting projects as required.

**Qualifications and Skills**

**Education**:

- Certificate or diploma in Accounting or Finance.

**Experience**:

- 1-2 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting support is preferred.
- Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems.

**Skills**:

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
