**Job description**
Scholars Education Center/ Maple Vaughan is looking for a dynamic and motivated Center Coordinator/ Manager with strong people skills to assist in the day-to-day management of our busy centre.
You must be an academic superhero helping kids of all ages get better grades. You would be an integral part of our team that helps students achieve academic success. You would be the go-to person for parents, teachers, students, and management. You will be the team lead.
As a team lead, you would participate in all aspects in the centre's operations including office administration, managing all student programming and assessments, meeting with parents and schoolteachers, staff management and leadership.
You must have a passion for education and helping kids. More than anything else, you must enjoy talking to people and have business acumen.
Must have experience in sales, marketing, and business development as well as possess superb communication and interpersonal skills.
**Responsibilities include but not limited to**:
- Build relationships with parents and the community
- Office administration, managing all student programming and assessments, meeting with parents and schoolteachers, staff management and leadership
- Help inquiring parents to discover Scholars Education Center
- Ensure students’ materials are printed and ready for class
- Train, support and manage teachers
- Meet Centre’s performance goals
- Experience working in a business environment is an asset
- Be comfortable working with mínimal supervision in an extremely fast-paced environment
- Have excellent organization, time management, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills
- Assist in the creation and monitoring of individualized programs
- Initiate and engage in local marketing including social media
- Effectively execute pre-assigned tasks throughout workday
- Efficiently maintain accurate records
- Meet with families to regularly review progress
- Create a fun and energetic learning environment daily
- Effectively master the Scholars Education teaching philosophy
- Promote and participate in all aspects of the Scholars Education Learning business
**General Qualifications**:
- Minimum post-secondary education
- Must be fluent in English
- Ontario Certified Teacher certification (is an asset but not necessary)
- Strong leadership and ability to manage a team of teachers, parents, and other stakeholders
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Experienced in working with children and youth
- Excellent marketing and sales skills
- Good persuasive skills
- Good organization and management skills
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in the use of social media
**Must have qualifications**:
- Must be tech savvy
- Experience working in an educational environment
- Sales experience is required
- Experience working in a business environment is an asset
- Experience with billing cycles required
- Strong phone skills and experience in customer service
- 3-5 years of administrative experience in a supervisory role
- Strong computer skills (MS Office)
- Strong at social media
- Strong mathematics skills are an asset
- University degree (Social Sciences, Languages, Math and Business preferred)
- Additional language(s) spoken is an asset
- Bachelor's degree or similar certification in a relevant field
