**Job Summary Both Bistro Chef and Cafe staff**:
1- We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Cafe and Bistro chef to join our team.
**Responsibilities**:
**- Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food preparation and presentation.**
**- Develop and plan seasonal menus that align with the bistro’s concept and customer preferences.**
**- Manage food inventory, purchasing, and budgeting to maintain food cost controls.**
**- Lead a team of kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.**
**- Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and sanitation standards.**
**- Coordinate with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth service.**
**- Collaborate on design elements for a visually appealing food presentation and overall aesthetic in the bistro.**
Qualifications:
**- Proven experience as a head chef, kitchen manager, or in a similar culinary leadership role.**
**- Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques, food preparation, and kitchen management.**
**- Experience in menu creation, costing, and sourcing quality ingredients.**
**- Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train kitchen staff.**
**- Excellent communication and organizational skills.**
**- Creative and innovative approach to cooking and food presentation.**
**- Passion for food and delivering an exceptional guest experience.**
**Responsibilities**
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly and assisting them with their orders.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately, including cash handling and processing payments.
- Prepare and serve food and beverages according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the cafe area, including dining tables, counters, and kitchen equipment.
- Assist in inventory management by restocking supplies as needed and reporting any shortages to management.
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operation during busy periods.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations while preparing food and serving customers.
**Skills**
- Previous experience in a restaurant or cafe setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Familiarity with food sanitation practices to ensure a safe dining environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience with POS systems is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- A proactive attitude towards helping customers and enhancing their overall experience in the cafe.
