**JOB PURPOSE**:
IPEX is seeking an eager supply chain professional looking for a challenging and rewarding career in Logistics. This individual will report to the Strategic Sourcing Manager, Transportation and will spend majority of their time evaluating the North American transportation network to find efficiencies which drive cost savings and/or operational excellence. Aside from deep critical analysis of large varying data sets, the Strategic Procurement Specialist, Transportation will regularly interact with both internal and external stakeholders to negotiate agreements and address the qualitative requirements of sourcing activities.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITES**:

- Drive RFP/RFQ including contracting, Implementation, and ongoing compliance
- Research, evaluate and implement process optimization initiatives
- Administer new carrier vetting
- Manage monthly spend/savings reporting
- Continuously reduce non-core freight vendors through identification of infractions and root cause analysis on usage
- Address new logistics requirements as they arise
- Implement routing changes throughout the organization with support from operational groups
- Carrier score carding
- Support QBR’s through providing qualitative and quantitative input
- Manage carrier performance in terms or On-time shipping, claims and AR based on operational input
- Drive Carrier Safety Program performance and compliance
- Manage claims monitoring
- Ensure systems are updated in a timely fashion (rate tariffs, accessorial schedules, certificates of insurance, operating authorities, etc.)
- Address rate disputes and AP issues as needed
- Support and lead carrier contract negotiations as needed

**Requirements**:
**Education & Certificates**
- Completion of post-secondary education in a related field
- Working towards or completed CITT, PLog, or SCMP designation

**Technical Skills & Experience**
- Strong strategic thinking with aptitude for negotiation
- 3-5 years of experience in transportation or logistics environment
- Experience selling ideas to higher level management
- Excel and data analytical skills involving large data sets, Pivot Tables, Graphing, Charts, Macros
- Experience supporting multiple shipping locations across North America for customer orders, replenishments, stock transfers and consignment shipping.
- Experience in supplier management (preferred)
- Experience in SAP (preferred)
- TMS experience (preferred)
