Position: Procurement Specialist Manufacturing

Starting Date: January 19, 2025

Immediate Supervisor: Harold Yeo

Job Description:

  • This position will require working in both an office and factory floor environment
  • Minimum 5 years direct procurement experience
  • We are seeking persons with a desire to advance to a higher level
  • Willingness to work overtime when required is necessary
  • The employee will report each business day to the TLS facility
  • Located close to the Bronte Go Train Station
  • Previous experience using manufacturing style procurement software is essential
  • Visiting our suppliers may be necessary
  • Written and spoken communication skills in English are a prerequisite
  • Ability to work with others in an office environment is essential
  • Knowledge of Quickbooks accounting software would be an asset
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software is essential
  • Past experience negotiating supply agreements is essential

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year

Language Requirement:

  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English is essential
  • French is not required however would be considered beneficial
  • Mandarin is not required however would be considered beneficial

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Overtime

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Oakville, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

  • Purchasing: 5 years (minimum)
  • Experience in factory metal fabrication
  • A background working in the heavy equipment industry is preferred
