Traffic Manager

**Job Summary**:
Under the direction of the Technical Manager, it is the Traffic and Logistics Manager’s responsibility is for the elaboration and development of all traffic and construction logistics related to the project. Preparation of high-quality project deliverables with a commitment to excellence and quality work including analysis, designs, reports, specifications, and presentations.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Manage over all project performance, client relationships, staff, and sub-contractors in all matters related to traffic and transit
- Reporting regularly to project and discipline leads for progress
- Direct designers to develop traffic designs as required
- Liaise with the Client’s team in order to maintain field communication in accordance to the established protocols.
- Assist the Project Manager in promoting communication throughout the project team.
- Promote STRABAG Inc. to all associated with the project by demonstrating professional skill and a high standard of fairness and integrity.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the line manager
**Knowledge and Skills**:
- Familiar with local codes and regulations, including local Health and Safety guidelines
- Experience in leading a team through the construction process
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks within a fast-paced worksite environment
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of management and employees
- Willingness for continuous learning and advancement of technical knowledge
- Effective analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read schedules and scheduling cures/reports
**Qualifications**:
- Diploma in Transportation Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related disciplines
- 10+ years relevant professional experience including 3+ years working within the GTA
- PEng, PMP, and PTOE certifications an asset
- Understanding of Traffic engineering, traffic signal design, safety, simulation, intersection capacity analysis, and roadway designs
- Applied knowledge of published guidance from the nation (TAC/TC) provincial (MTO) and municipal governments and associations
- Working knowledge of legislation and associated regulations that govern your work including the Highway Traffic Act, Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, Environmental Assessment Act, Planning Act, and Construction Act
