We are looking for our next Brand Manager - Ocular Health (14 Month Contract) supporting the Vision Care Marketing team, in Mississauga, Canada. As a Brand Manager - Ocular Health (14 Month Contract) you will be responsible for planning, developing, and executing clearly defined marketing strategies to optimize the brand potential, maintain brand equity and generate short and long term ROI for Alcon's OTC Portfolio (eye drops, contact lens care & vitamins). This individual will be responsible for the management and execution of strategies to generate strong demand and to realize business plan objectives. Activities include consumer, digital, retail, and professional marketing, strategic planning, pricing, forecasting, advertising and promotions, packaging, budget management, financial analysis, and project management.
In this role, a typical day will include:
- Develop executable marketing plans that drive sales, share and profit improvements
- Establish marketing strategies including advertising/promotions, pricing strategy, distribution channel management, product development, tactical plan development and execution
- Execute channel product positioning and competitive selling strategies
- Working with the National Accounts team, strengthen consumer communications through effective creation and implementation of customer specific marketing campaigns including retailers, consumers, and eye care professionals
- Lead new product launch activities or brand extensions
- Work closely with agency partners to develop, evaluate, execute, and track advertising/promotions
- Conduct analysis of specific business issues and evaluate competitive activity, product performance and marketing communications and proactively share findings
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve objectives; Stakeholders include National Accounts Team, Field Sales, Global Marketing, Regulatory Affairs, Operations, Senior Leadership, external vendors or agencies and key industry opinion leaders
- Provide support as needed on specific projects undertaken by Marketing Team
- Additional responsibility for cross-brand elements: conferences/events
- Collaboration and teamwork with fellow team members
What you’ll bring to Alcon:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience
- 3-5 Years of Relevant Marketing Experience at a Pharmaceutical or CPG company
- 1-2 Years of Demonstrated Leadership
Work hours: Monday-Friday Daytime
Travel Requirements: 15% or less travel

- Entrepreneurial minded
- Familiar with OTC products and understanding of Healthcare industry
