Dillon’s **Geoscience Practice** is looking for an** Intermediate Environmental Site Assessment/Excess Soils Professional** to join our multidisciplinary team. You will have the opportunity to work on new and exciting projects while providing clients with a fully integrated and superior customer experience.

**Responsibilities**:
**What your day will look like**

**Data Management**
- Develop and generate reports, visualizations, and summaries of environmental data for internal and external stakeholders, leveraging ESDAT's reporting functionalities.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to optimize data management systems, reporting and visualizations, with a focus on reporting efficiencies and automation.
- Troubleshoot data-related issues and provide expert technical support and guidance to team members on ESDAT, TabLogs and other data management tools.
- Lead and mentor junior staff in best practices for environmental data management, including data entry, QA/QC procedures, and the effective use of ESDAT, TabLogs and other software.

**Technical Project Delivery**
- Provide technical support for projects related to the assessment and management of environmental contaminants in soil, groundwater, and other media, phased environmental site assessments (ESAs) and the Record of Site Condition (O.Reg. 153/04 RSC) process and remediation in Ontario
- Leading and/or contributing to technical work relating to excess soils management in Ontario (O.Reg. 406/19). This may include preparation of Assessments of Past Use, Sampling and Analysis Plans, Soil Characterization Reports, Excess Soil Destination Assessment Reports, preparation or review of contractor submittals, or strategy development.
- Lead/oversee/support the environmental site assessment and excess soils management teams on fast paced transit and transportation infrastructure, land development and environmental due diligence projects, including preparation and writing technical reports, assessment and interpretation of technical data, technical reviews of deliverables, and development of scopes of work.
- Comply with corporate, client, and site-specific health and safety protocols and programs and applicable health and safety regulations.
- Prepare and manage: health and safety programs for field projects, coordinate field programs (related to collection of soil, groundwater, surface water, sediments, indoor air, soil vapour, etc), prepare project contracts and agreements, complete sub-contractor selection and oversight, and organize/manage field teams
- Work with senior specialists, lead the management and interpretation of data including the presentation of data in data tables, figures, and reports.
- Potentially act as main point of contact/client liaison to communicate technical and project management information to client teams
- Manage multiple simultaneous environmental projects involving teams of environmental staff and specialists.

**Business Development**
- Respond to Requests for Proposal related to contaminated sites and excess soils work to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
- Coordinate, manage and build business relationships with: clients, regulators, service providers (e.g., laboratories, sub-contractor) and third-party stakeholders
- Business travel and field work may be required from time to time.

Qualifications:
**What you will need to succeed**
- Five or more years of experience in environmental consulting or related experience, including project coordination and management.
- A degree in environmental engineering, geoscience, or another relevant environmental discipline.
