The Client Services Worker - Homeless Outreach Program (CSW-HOP) works in conjunction with other CSWs to identify clients appropriate for the rent supplement program while acting as an access point for residents into the broader spectrum of housing, employment, substance abuse treatment, medical, and community mental health systems in Victoria and elsewhere. The CSW-HOP will be working with 20 plus clients and their landlords in efforts to support clients in maintaining their housing.

The CSW-HOP position requires direct engagement in the community with individuals experiencing homelessness, or who are at risk of homelessness, by assessing clients’ needs, assisting with personal goals and connecting individuals with housing and other appropriate services.

To succeed, you will have an excellent understanding of the issues faced by our client group. This includes experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds who face multiple barriers, such as substance use, mental health concerns, low incomes, and negative impacts of colonialism and racism.

**Qualifications**
- Degree or diploma in a related human or social services field.
- Two (2) years direct service experience with:

- Supporting vulnerable individuals in the community.
- Working in a program with vulnerable populations.
- Providing client-centered case management.
- Creating and implementing case plans.
- Linking individuals to various housing and other supports such as mental health and treatment services.
- Demonstrated experience working as part of a multi-disciplinary care team with the ability to ensure thoughtful and effective communication with supervisors and staff, and maintain strong boundaries.

**Requirements**:

- Valid Class 5 Drivers License and clear Driver Abstract.
- Complete the Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General Criminal Record Check.

**Job Information**
- **Hourly Wage Rate **$24.48 - $28.52.
- ** Based out of**:535 Ellice St - Rock Bay Landing.
- ** Work Days **Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
- ** Shift Time **8:00am to 6:00pm.
- **Weekly Hours**: 40.
- ** Union**:BCGEU.
- ** Benefits**: Eligible for 100% employer paid benefits. We offer **comprehensive extended health and dental plans**.
- ** Job Type**:Permanent - full-time.

**Portability**

As of November 1, 2021, Cool Aid requires that all its staff are fully vaccinated (7 days past their second dose of vaccine) against COVID-19.
