We're looking for a **VP of People and Culture** to join our North American team in Montreal, QC. Your focus will be to build strong relationships and deliver a people strategy.
Leading a great team of People Business partners, each serving different business units across North America. You will be responsible for collaborating with the other P&C expert groups and functional leaders to identify, build, implement programs to support leaders and the company's success. You will be an integral part of the P&C leadership team working with Talent and Capability, Total Rewards, Operations and Systems and Insights, Talent Acquisition and regional P&C leaders globally. **This position can be remote.**
**What you will be doing**:
- Establish a performance consulting practice with deep partnerships within the business in order to enable and sustain a performance focused culture across the organisation
- Provide sound business partnership day-to-day on a wide range of HR functions including labour relations, compensation, talent management, workforce planning, performance management, organisational design, change management, employee relations, succession management, recruitment, process improvement, learning and development.
- Provide strategic leadership to leaders, key stakeholders and People & Culture team to deliver on the needs and priorities of our growing teams
- Act as a trusted advisor and coach leadership to enhance their effectiveness within your client groups
- Lead and develop a team of People Business Partners who act as the first line of contact to leaders for all matters People related
- Drive proactive conversations with business leaders in a predictable way around People data for their respective client groups
- Partner with functional leaders to drive organisational design activities (succession planning, talent development, workforce planning)
- Partner closely with internal stakeholders on employee related initiatives and provide thought-leadership in areas such as Career Development, Talent Development/Management, Employee Engagement, Compensation, etc.
- Lead special projects as required by the client groups or P&C team
**What you'll bring to the team**:
Reporting into our Chief People Officer, you will be managing a team of 10 people located between Montreal and Toronto. Our team is responsible for providing sound business partnership day-to-day.
You will also be working closely with the Heads of P&C in other regions of the world (EMEA & APAC).
- You have several years of leadership experience at the Director level or above
- You have strong written and verbal communication skills in **both French and English** **(bilingual)**:
- Superior ability to influence and collaborate with senior management and work across all levels, cultures and geographically dispersed teams in a global organisation
- Ability to problem solve & create brainstorming sessions to put ideas into execution or empower your team to do so
- Building strong partnerships in all business units to deliver HR programs at an integrated level.
- Establishing a world-class partnership team through hiring, coaching and developing People Business Partnership team members
- Providing practical insights into how best to motivate and manage the workforce of today and plan for the workforce of tomorrow.
- Working within a fast-paced, high growth technology organisation, you are phenomenal at prioritising issues with competing demands
- Proven delivery of tangible people results including building and transforming at scale.
- You possess the highest level of integrity and stellar judgement
- You love alternating between strategy and tactical execution.
