**POSITION OVERVIEW**

dormakaba is seeking an Environment Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist based in its Montreal, QC manufacturing facility. The EHS Specialist plays a key role in promoting a safe, healthy, and environmentally compliant workplace. This individual will collaborate across departments, working closely with supervisors and plant personnel to ensure EHS policies and procedures are understood, implemented, and consistently followed throughout the facility.

**WHAT YOU WILL DO**
- Design and execute Environment Health & Safety programs and operating procedures
- Plan, organize, and facilitate EHS training sessions and awareness activities for employees
- Actively contribute to health and safety committee meetings and support environmental initiatives
- Lead investigations of workplace incidents and accidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective and preventive measuresCarry out additional responsibilities as directed by the EHS Manager to help departments meet safety and environmental goals

**WHAT WE REQUIRE**
- College degree in industrial hygiene, environmental studies, occupational health and safety or any other related field
- 3+ years of experience in an industrial environmentPractical knowledge of EHS legislation and standards

**WHAT WE PREFER**
- Demonstrated experience providing guidance and support on EHS matters
- Track record of staying current with evolving standards
- Proven experience working in a continuous improvement setting, with a focus on evolving EHS standards, policies, and regulatory compliancePerfectly bilingual in both English and French - The incumbent must work with a global multidisciplinary team

**APERÇU DU POSTE**

Le spécialiste ESS assiste le gestionnaire ESS dans ses responsabilités. Dans le cadre de ses fonctions, le spécialiste ESS veillera à ce que le personnel travaille dans un milieu sain et sécuritaire et à ce que l’établissement soit conforme aux normes environnementales. Le titulaire du poste travaillera en étroite collaboration avec les autres services, les superviseurs et les employés de l’usine pour les aider à mettre en œuvre les politiques et procédures en matière d’environnement, de santé et de sécurité.

**CE QUE VOUS FEREZ**
- Élaboration et mise en place des programmes et procédures en ESS
- Développer, coordonner et dispenser les activité s et les f ormations reliées à l’ESS
- Participation aux réunions et aux activités du comité santé sécurité et aux initiatives environnementales
- Mener des enquêtes d’incidents et d’accident et mettre en œuvre des actions correctives et préventives.Effectuer d’autres tâches assignées par le gestionnaire ESS pour soutenir les objectifs des différents services.

**CE QUE NOUS DEMANDONS**
- Un diplôme en hygiène industrielle, environnement, santé et sécurité au travail ou tout autre domaine connexe.
- Un minimum de trois (3) ans d’expérience dans le milieu industriel
- Des connaissances pratiques de la législation et des normes en matière de SSE
- Capacités d’analyse et de résolution de problèmes
- Une bonne capacité à établir des priorités, à planifier et à respecter les délais tout en travaillant sur divers projets simultanément dans un environnement en constante évolutionUn esprit d’équipe et une facilité à interagir avec les gens
