An opening exists in the School Markets Division for the position of Marketing Specialist reporting to Senior Marketing Manager, School Markets

**Work Location**:This position is hybrid with the flexibility of working from home or in our beautiful downtown Toronto office located at 2 Bloor Street West, Toronto Ontario.

**Role Summary**

This position is an 18-month contract opportunity. The Marketing Specialist, reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, School Markets will be responsible for supporting the promotion of Book Clubs and Book Fairs products and programs to meet the financial goals of the businesses. This includes creating print and digital collateral to support divisional and cross-channel initiatives, with a strong focus on ecommerce and social media.

**Primary** **Responsibilities**
- Plan and execute all digital marketing assets for all School Market ecommerce, marketing websites, and blogs.
- Plan and execute effective social media promotion, develop posting schedules and content for all School Market social media channels, and communicate trends.
- Plan and execute all School Market print and online promotional catalogues and flyers, including Book Clubs news and memos, and Book Fairs booklist flyers.
- Manage the creation process of all marketing collateral with cross-divisional teams, ensuring all departments are kept abreast of marketing initiatives and updates.
- Evaluate results on a monthly basis and provide recommendations.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, English, or Advertising, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in marketing and/or advertising.
- Professional fluency and marketing experience in **French** is an asset.
- Proven track record of being a self-starter, capable of driving projects from inception to completion.
- Excellent time management skills, and strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Experience with leading small teams and working collaboratively to meet departmental and corporate goals.
- Proficiency with the following platforms: Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, Adobe Creative Suite/Canva, or other digital content creation platforms.
- General understanding of Enterprise/ecommerce level network infrastructure.
- Experience with content management systems/databases such as Adobe Analytics, Demandware/Salesforce Business Manager, WordPress, Figma, Trello, or similar.
