**Exciting Job Opportunity in a New Facility: Logistics Coordinator**

Are you ready for an exciting new challenge? We are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Logistics Coordinator to join our vibrant Operations team If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess exceptional organizational and forklift operation skills, we want to hear from you

As a Logistics Coordinator you will play a crucial role in our daily operations. Your responsibilities will include planning and scheduling transportation for goods for best use of truck/route in a fast paced environment.

**Primary Work Activities and Responsibilities**
- Ensures shipping guidelines are adhered to according to client and company specifications and requirements
- Coordinate shipments and communicate booking information and instructions
- Builds and maintains relationships with various transportation companies, including maintaining cargo insurance, WSIB coverage letters, etc.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with carriers
- Proactively provide current knowledge of freight rates and factors affecting them

**Experience and Technical Skills Required**
- 5+ years of experience in logistics, dispatch, transportation or similar industry
- Use of logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
- Proficient with MS Office (Excel and Outlook).
- Identifying problems and reviewing data to develop and implement solutions.
- Demonstrated knowledge of shipping and or logistics procedures
- Strong attention to detail, highly developed organizational and critical thinking skills
- Work independently, with little supervision
- Ability to initiate, develop and maintain positive and productive working relationships throughout all levels of the organization.
