I.A.T.S.E. Local 295 is looking for an Office Administrator to oversee the day to day office operations of the Union.
I.A.T.S.E. Local 295 has jurisdiction over Southern Saskatchewan for both Film and Stage. Since we are a mixed Local, our Members can work on Film productions and/or at the Stage venues we have Collective Agreements with. Through General Meetings our Members have the opportunity to engage in the business and direction of their Local. We work closely with other organizations and stakeholders in both the film and live performance industries to nurture and protect the employment opportunities for our Members.
The individual in the Office Administrator position must be proficient with Microsoft Office and QuickBooks. The applicant should have two (2)+ years’ experience with bookkeeping for small business. They must have excellent time management and organizational skills, as well as be able to communicate and work collaboratively with the Executive Board.
The Office Administrator is expected to:
- Open and close the office
- Maintenance of member databases - both Union Dues & Dispatch and Excel
- Create customized reports from the databases based on the needs/requests from the Executive Board, Employers, Call Stewards and/or other departments
- Prepare all member mail outs as directed and process all incoming & outgoing mail
- Update and process RRSP remittances made to the Canadian Entertainment Industries Retirement Plan as the Local Administrator
- Process and reconcile all Health & Welfare remittances and medical insurance premiums deductions for members as the Local Administrator
- Data entry in QuickBooks and Access, including reconciliation of accounts
- Submit monthly financial reports as directed to the Executive Board
- Handle all members’ dues in consult with Secretary and Treasurer related activity including: collection, deposits, following up on arrears, providing receipts and stamps, etc.
- Adhere to all aspects of the Collective Agreement between I.A.T.S.E. Local 295 and GSU

Pay: From $24.10 per hour
Expected hours: 24 - 32 per week
