We're The Atlas°; Regina's coolest independent, full service hotel. Our passion is to be the hotel our community is proud of and to do so by providing awesome experiences, not just for our guests but also our internal staff as well. How exactly do we plan to do that you ask? Well... we already have some downright amazing people that work here so we're part way there already. We even have folks whose sole job it is to curate experiences for our guests so I think you could give us a check mark there too.
Then, there's our HR Manager. It's her job right now to enhance our internal culture, recruit, retain, coordinate appreciation weeks, keep everything from uniforms to employee records up to date and assist with interviews, evaluations and anything from occupational health & safety meetings to coaching conversations. She's the one who needs your help (Obviously... I mean, would you look at that list).
We are looking to add a full time HR Assistant (known as the Employee Experience Enthusiast here at the hotel) to our team. Previous experience or schooling in Human Resources would be considered an asset, however if you have relevant experience in another industry or field that will be considered as well.
This opportunity will include tasks such as:
- Creating, editing, and proofing policies, communications, and training documents
- Assisting with planning and executing internal appreciation weeks and events for our Crew (that's what we call our staff internally in case you were wondering)
- Following up on requests, forms and training to be completed to ensure our team members stay on track and meet deadlines
- Helping schedule and execute on health and safety initiatives
- Scheduling meetings, coordinating appointments, and taking notes or minutes if and when needed
- Plus, just generally keeping things on track, up to date and moving in the right direction for anything related to our internal team or our HR Manager
There's no shortage of projects to be tackled, ideas to be finessed, items to be organized, and little fastidious details to be checked up on and checked off the to do list. Seriously, I think there might still be a thing or two on her to do list from 2020. But don't let that scare you It's just been a busy couple years around here.
