Stella-Jones is hiring a Production Supervisor for our Plant in Truro. You will be supervising 10-20 employees and will be responsible for daily production and shaving requirements in order to meet the treating schedule.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepares yard workorders and shaving schedule
- Manages yard stock transfers
- Coordinates pole treating schedule
- Plans pole framers schedule
- Works with outside sales on orders
- Coordinates off-sales
- Participates in cycle and annual inventory counts
- Actively participates in the Health and Safety Committee
- Identifies and finds solutions for safety issues
- Schedules third-party inspection requirements
- Ensures employee hours are entered correctly in payroll system (Ceridian)
- Manages and directs employees
- Performs other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum 5 years of related experience, 2-3 years in a supervisory role.
- Familiar with mobile equipment such as forklifts or loaders
- Wood treatment experience considered an asset
- Effective communication skills
- Demonstrated problem solving, prioritization and conflict resolution skills
- Attention to detail
- Knowledge of utility pole and customer standards
- Time and stress management
- Ability to work independently and be flexible regarding work assignments
- Intermediate Computer skills (Microsoft Office, BlueBee and/or SAP system)
- Knowledge of health and safety standards
