Barrie, Canada Little D's Family Restaurant Full time

We're looking for a server to join the team at the Little D’s Family Restaurant. You are the face of our restaurant and responsible for our customers' experience. You need to be quick on your feet (literally and metaphorically) and have a polite and friendly attitude. Your ultimate goal will be to provide high-quality service that will help us maintain and attract customers. Our team is kind, approachable, understanding and brings a positive attitude to the workplace every day.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Warmly greets guests upon entrance to the restaurant
- Provide guests with an exceptional dining experience from start to finish
- Take drink and food orders in a timely manner
- Ensure food and beverage quality is to the highest standard
- Ensure guest is aware of all current specials
- Take and serve orders
- Balances the guest flow, taking into account requests for a particular table and spacing requirements
- Handle cash and credit cards in a responsible and timely manner
- Clear and sanitize tables in a timely manner, maintaining a clean environment for our guests while keeping in compliance with the current health and safety standards
- Follow all our Covid-19 protocols, and be comfortable in educating our guests as to those protocols
- Prepare restaurant tables with special attention to sanitation and order
- Be comfortable with being the only server on at times
- Answering phone calls
- Placing to go orders
- Preparing bill and processing payment
- Cleaning duties such as stocking, sanitizing, cleaning floors, washing dishes.
- Keep stock of items that need replenishment and advise owner
- Assists with other duties as needed to maintain service effectiveness and efficiency

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Smart Serve, SIR or equivalent
- A positive, can-do attitude
- Ability to multitask
- Strong communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Maintain a positive relationship with guests and staff
- Passion for customer service excellence
- Engaging and energetic team player

**ASSETS**:

- Relevant hospitality industry experience
