MaKami College is growing and has an exciting opportunity for an experienced **Financial Coordinator to** join our team. As an integral member of the Finance team, you will be supporting students in navigating the complex landscape of financial aid options and resources. A financial assistance coordinator contributes to the overall mission of the college by facilitating access to higher education for students from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds and supporting their academic success and retention.
**Key Accountabilities (key duties & desired outcomes)**:
- Collaborate with various departments to collect, validate, and organize data from different sources including student information systems, surveys, financial information systems, and external sources.
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and completeness through regular audits and validation processes.
- Communicate findings and insights effectively to internal stakeholders through written reports, presentations, and meetings.
- Monitor the status of all pending student loans
- Compile data and create regular and customized reports, manuals, and correspondence.
- Manage administrative tasks involved in post-secondary admissions.
- Supervise and manage office administrative procedures while evaluating and implementing new protocols.
- Stay informed about changes to financial aid programs, government policies, and community resources to ensure that you can provide up-to-date information and assistance to potential students.
**Educational and Experience Qualifications**:
- Diploma in Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 1-3 years of applicable experience within an educational environment would be an asset.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into actionable insights for diverse audiences.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.
