Part time, approx. 17.5-22.5 hours per week, with promotion to full time a possibility.
**Office hours**: Monday - Friday 9:00-5:00

We distribute fine decorative hardware products that are designed and manufactured in Europe. Our customers included architects, designers, cabinetmakers, builders, renovators, furniture manufacturers, specialty retailers and home owners who appreciate extraordinary quality and design. We strive to help our customers with the finishing touches in their design and build projects. We are known for our excellent customer service within the industry.
You have 1-2+ years of experience in a customer service, sales or related role. You have excellent computer skills. You are interested in design and care to help and work with people. You have a friendly, flexible, ‘can-do’ attitude to work with customers as well as internal departments to meet customer and business needs.
**About the Job Opening**:
Home base is at the Showroom + Distribution Centre.
Outside sales calls with new and existing customers, where commission is earned on sales generated.
**Responsibilities**:
**Customer service** **and sales**
- Communicate new and existing products and programs with existing accounts
- Professionally answer phones and help the caller, or direct the call to the appropriate department
- Process point of sale transactions quickly and accurately
**Order entry and filling**
- Basic bookkeeping tasks - use software to accurately enter invoices, sales, returns, payments
- Knowledge of Account Edge or similar bookkeeping software is an asset, but we will train the right person
**Showroom and warehouse**
- Ensure store is visually appealing - contributing to company standards through product presentation, store housekeeping, store maintenance and visual displays
- Assist walk-in clients in decorative hardware selection
- Occasionally help organize the product in incoming shipments (some light lifting may be required)
**Qualifications**:
- 1-2 years + experience working in a sales/retail/customer service environment is preferred
- Decorating/design experience and/or interest is preferred
- Interest in decorative hardware product knowledge would be an asset
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Problem solving to help customers and the business
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as a team
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task
- G LICENSE AND ACCESS TO A VEHICLE IS REQUIRED
