We are currently recruiting for a** Health & Safety Administrator** at our head office in **Red Deer, AB**.

What will you do?
- Maintain statistics and records and monitor accident/incident frequencies and safety violations.
- Assist in investigations and complete related documentation.
- Regularly monitor safety compliance, complete safety related training of workers & facilitate new worker safety orientations.
- Conduct site inspections and institute corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure completion of regular inspection reports from departments; ensure deficiencies are corrected and entered in WorkHub.
- Participate in safety meetings, toolbox meetings, and promote health and safety informational awareness.
- Maintain the administration, documentation, and management of Canalta's Safety program.
- Complete all reporting to WCB and maintain communication regarding open files.

What do you need?
- Relevant Post-Secondary education in HSE is an asset
- 2+ years of safety experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) designation is an asset
- Possess the demonstrated ability to motivate self and others
- Ability to work in a team environment with minimum supervision
- Ability to create, grow and maintain positive relationships with multiple groups
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
