The _Canalta Group of Companies_ is a privately held Canadian owned company focusing on the manufacturing and service of industrial control and measurement equipment, specifically targeting the gas industry and supplying product internationally. We are currently recruiting for a** Health & Safety Administrator** at our head office in **Red Deer, AB**.

What will you do?
- Maintain statistics and records and monitor accident/incident frequencies and safety violations.
- Assist in investigations and complete related documentation.
- Regularly monitor safety compliance, complete safety related training of workers & facilitate new worker safety orientations.
- Conduct site inspections and institute corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure completion of regular inspection reports from departments; ensure deficiencies are corrected and entered in WorkHub.
- Participate in safety meetings, toolbox meetings, and promote health and safety informational awareness.
- Maintain the administration, documentation, and management of Canalta's Safety program.
- Complete all reporting to WCB and maintain communication regarding open files.

What do you need?
- Relevant Post-Secondary education in HSE is an asset
- 2+ years of safety experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) designation is an asset
- Possess the demonstrated ability to motivate self and others
- Ability to work in a team environment with minimum supervision
- Ability to create, grow and maintain positive relationships with multiple groups
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
