**Your role and responsibilities**
The Sales Manager is responsible for leading and managing the sales team to achieve the company's sales goals and growth objectives. This role involves developing strategic sales plans, overseeing the sales process, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The Sales Manager will be an active member of the local management team and will report to the General Manager.
The work model for the role is onsite, at the Pointe-Claire location, and the role is contributing to the Installation Products division.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Develop sales strategies, create and execute plans to achieve sales goals, find initiatives to support growth ambitions, monitor sales performance, prepare and present sales reports.
- Lead and manage the sales team, build/restructure the team, lead change management activities and provide training and feedback to team members.
- Provide support and guidance during sales and customer meetings, and participate in negotiations of customer contracts and T&Cs.
- Oversee the quotation process, monitor KPIs, communicate results and propose improvement initiatives.
- Develop and or improve effective customer support and tendering processes ensuring that customer satisfaction issues are answered in a timely manner by the sales team.
- Contribute to improvement plans focusing on planning, forecasts, delivery, inventory, and/or cost targets, meeting customer requirements.
- Adapt and participate in any new projects or initiatives.
**Qualifications for the role**
- 10+ years of relevant experience in sheet metal manufacturing, with 3-5 years of experience in sales management and knowledge of the costing process.
- Bachelor’s degree in business management or equivalent.
- Experience leading a team and/or managing projects.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a sales team.
- Must be willing and able to travel domestically or internationally for meetings, site visits, and industry events.
- Highly organized with excellent time management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (bilingualism French-English).
