**Position Overview**

We are seeking a **Business Development Manager** to establish and expand WASENS’ footprint in Canada, with a primary focus on the Toronto market. This role is pivotal in building our local presence: from identifying opportunities and leading business development activities, to supporting distributors, overseeing installations, and ensuring high-quality service delivery.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Drive business development efforts across Canada, with an emphasis on the Greater Toronto Area.
- Identify, onboard, and manage local distributors, contractors, and service partners.
- Build and nurture relationships with developers, general contractors, system integrators, and MEP consultants.
- Lead the preparation and delivery of tailored proposals and presentations to decision-makers.
- Support the full customer lifecycle: from design and specification to installation and after-sales service.
- Train and support distributor and contractor teams on WASENS products, technical specifications, and value propositions.
- Collaborate closely with global product, engineering, and marketing teams to ensure seamless execution.
- Represent WASENS at Canadian trade shows, conferences, and networking events.
- Provide regular reports on sales activities, pipeline status, market insights, and competitor activity.

**Required Qualifications**
- 3+ years of experience in business development, sales, or channel management in the Canadian construction or smart building industry.
- Strong existing network within the Toronto construction ecosystem (developers, contractors, integrators, distributors, plumbers, engineers).
- Technical understanding of building systems (plumbing, HVAC, fire safety, automation).
- Proven ability to generate leads, build pipelines, and close deals.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills for both technical and commercial audiences.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- High motivation and strong drive to succeed.
- Willingness to travel regionally across Ontario and nationally when required.

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Experience with IoT, PropTech, or water/energy efficiency solutions.
- Familiarity with Canadian construction project workflows and product specification processes.
- Experience working with plumbing supply houses, smart building distributors, or system integrators.

Pay: $75,000.00-$150,000.00 per year
