VAPOUREVOLUTION: HAMILTON - 1900 KING ST, EAST

VapouRevolution is an exciting opportunity to work in the vaping industry. We are currently looking for a part time and full time sales associates for our Hamilton location.

- Compensation:
$17.00 CAD / hourly to start. - $18.00 CAD / hourly after 90 day probation period.

This is a **FULL TIME OR PART TIME** position - with the possibility of more shifts based on need. We are a thriving store and as the working demand increases, part time employees may be offered additional or full-time hours.

VapouRevolution is open from **7AM to 11PM - 7 DAYS A WEEK.**

**We are open all holidays with the exception of Christmas Day & New Years Day. Sales associates are expected to work holidays if they are scheduled. Holiday pay compensation will be paid accordingly.**

- **Job expectations**:
Sales associates are the front end of the store. You will be welcoming customers as they enter and assisting them with purchases, recommendations and support. Basic knowledge of vaping is required, but we do train on all the products we sell. Sales associates will be outgoing, able to carry a conversation, presentable and willing to work as a team with other employees. Other duties will include:

- Basic cleaning of the store on a daily basis (vacuum, mop, wipe down, disinfect)
- Receiving inventory orders, sorting, counting and stocking
- Counting a cash till float, working and handling money
- Filling in provided daily cash sheets
- Reorganizing shelves and products
- Asking for photo identification
- Doing basic inventory counts
- Open and lock the store
- Unarm or rearm the store security system
- Working alone
- Working comfortably with another employees
- Respecting customers and other employees

- **Required skills**:

- Able to use a desktop computer and internet browser for our point of sales system
- Able to use Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook for basic office tasks
- Able to count money & give correct change to customers
- Able to stand for up to 30 minutes, including using a small step stool to reach or view top shelved products
- Able to maintain a healthy conversation from a retail perspective

- **Dress Code**:
We aim to keep our store as professional as possible. Employees will be required to wear a supplied VR shirt while on their shift. Shirts are available in all sizes and are offered in a collared men's cut, or a tapered v-neck women's cut.

For pants / lower body - Jeans, shorts, dress pants, knee length skirts and darker coloured non-see-through leggings are acceptable. **No sweatpants, jogging pants, see through clothing or fashionably torn items**.

Fashion accessories are acceptable as long as they aren't offensive, political and will not cause harm to fellow employees or customers.

Full toe covered shoes are absolutely required. **No sandals, crocs, or open toe shoes.**

- **Additional information**:
Employees will be eligible for a VR sweatshirt, hat and other branded materials after their first 90 days of employment - all supplied by the company.

Employees will receive a set discount on everything in the store.

Bonuses are earned as a team, rather than individuals so that everyone has the opportunity to earn more.

Part time employees are typically contacted first when a need for additional shift coverage is required. We expect our part time employees to be able to pick up additional shifts in the event a fellow employee cannot attend their scheduled shift. We understand that this availability will be situational, however it is important that there is a bit of flexibility.

- Our team is a close group of individuals who always steps in to help out their fellow employees whenever they can. We encourage employees to switch shifts, rather than miss shifts to ensure proper store coverage and no loss of pay. Although your schedule will typically be fixed, some flexibility will help the team overcome staffing challenges in the event of injury or illness.

Employees will often get to sample products as they are released to the general public and provide their personal feedback. We listen to the opinions of our employees and shape our stores based on their suggestions. Free samples are a great perk to being ready for when these new products arrive.
