Job Description: Property Management Bookkeeper

We are currently looking for a full-time Bookkeeper to join our team. If you are someone that is organized, detail oriented, a fast learner, adaptable, tech savvy, can make routine fun, and can work independently as well as in a team environment then this position is for you

The Property Management Bookkeeper would be responsible for the full-cycle financial administration of a growing portfolio of properties. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

- Processing the daily operations of the client accounting (accounts payable and accounts receivable)
- Reconciling of G/L accounts
- Administer Contingency Reserve Funds and Special Levy Funds
- Maintain and update financial accounting database as required
- Preparing and generating bank deposits as required
- Process and administer Pre-Authorized Debit database for strata owners
- Process tenant/owner charges as directed by a Property Manager
- Set up initial financial information for the management of new strata properties to ensure the accuracy of billing information, leasing and tenant information
- Provide analytical and accounting administrative support to assist the Property and Strata Managers with problem-solving issues.
- Bank reconciliations for multiple accounts
- Other accounting administrative tasks and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

- Property Management experience would be an asset
- Understanding the BC Strata Property Act would be an asset
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Completion of Post-secondary certificate or diploma, preferably in a business or administrative field, would be an asset.
- Detail oriented, well organized, and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Ability to multi-task and handle interruptions with a smile.
- A team player with clear written and verbal communication.
- Self-motivated, and able to work well both independently and under direction.
- Demonstrate positive customer service skills and professionalism.
- Familiarity with a variety of software programs, especially MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Knowledge of Spectra and InfoTracker would be an asset.

Hours are 9:00 am-5:00 pm Monday to Friday. We offer a benefits package and three weeks’ vacation.
