Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Head Chef to join our little team. We are a locally owned and operated restaurant. We have a beautiful waterfront location, with a big patio, right downtown. We need someone who can lead our team with a positive, happy attitude. We have worked very hard to create a clean and safe work environment, where people are not mistreated or taken advantage of and where everyone can thrive.
Primary attributes that we are looking for:
- Problem solving skills
- Strong communication skills
- The ability to train new staff effectively
- Someone who gets along with the team and is likeable
- The ability to work independently and make autonomous decisions
Duties include that of a normal head chef for a small to mid-size restaurant. Scheduling, food ordering, food costing, some menu development, hiring and training, coaching, equipment maintenance, ensuring smooth service.
The position is salary PLUS tips. The tip pool ranges from about $3 - $5 extra dollars an hour (depending on how busy we are). We offer health benefits after the probation period, free meals, and there is the possibility to negotiate on-site parking.
Pay: $62,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
