We are recruiting for a HR Administrator to support **First Response**, a Canadian business unit under Ambipar Response.

**WHAT YOUR DAY WILL LOOK LIKE**:

- Posting jobs through various job boards, updating and reposting as necessary;
- Daily resume screening and forwarding to the appropriate hiring manager;
- Updating and maintaining employee records (i.e. documents, wage increases, title changes, completed performance evaluations);
- Conducting the HR orientation and systems training for new hires;
- Preparing Performance Appraisal documents for employees;
- Updating the phone list and employee signatures when requested or for onboarding new hires;
- Assisting in developing and updating document control for the HR department (procedures, job descriptions, performance evaluation, and other document templates);
- Supporting staff and managers with confidential employee matters while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality;
- Benefit Program Management - updating employee changes, and assisting with STD/LTD claims, etc.;
- Revising and updating policies as required;
- Creating/developing HR initiatives;
- Attending divisional meetings to engage and collaborate with divisional managers on HR initiatives;
- Providing assistance and administrative support to executive team members as needed;
- Any other duties associated with this role.

**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Minimum 2-3 years of relevant HR experience or office administration experience OR equivalent education background (Diploma or Bachelor)
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent collaborator - ability to work in a team and independently
- A high-level of confidentiality
- Strong administration skills, including data entry
- Creative and innovative thinker
- Ability to be understanding, empathetic and relatable
- Strong skills using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, etc.)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $24.00-$27.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime

**Experience**:

- Human resources: 1 year (preferred)
