- We are the Squamish Adventure Inn and we want YOU to liven up the place. This is a Management position, but don’t worry, it’s not lonely at the top. You’ll be working with another Assistant Manager, the Housekeeping Supervisor and your Operations Manager Overlord to help make our hostel the best of the best. You’ll also work alongside our crew on your housekeeping days._

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:_**
- _ Manage our Crew of 4-8 part-time adventurers/feral nomads, including:_
- _ Recruitment/dismissal_
- _ Orientation and training_
- _ Weekly team dinners_
- _ Monthly staff events and team-building_
- _ Work the Hostel Supervisor shift, including:_
- _ Working Reception_
- _ Handling emergencies_
- _ Doing your part to attack the _never-ending_ mountain of laundry we produce_
- _ Regularly interacting with our AWESOME guests_
- _ Work the Housekeeping Lead shifts (usually Wednesday and Thursdays), including:_
- _ Cleaning all the things (if it is a thing, it needs to be cleaned)_
- _ Supervise a Crew of 1-2 on the Quest to Clean all the Things_
- _ Deciding when and how to clean the things (preferably “now” and “really well”)_
- _ Teaching the Crew how to clean things all by themselves_
- _ Laundry. Lots and lots of laundry. Washing, drying, foldinglaundry._
- _ Managing inventory and linensalso known as laundry_
- _ Take on the Acting Overlord position when said overlord is unavailable or on vacation_
- _ Be on-call in the evenings (after your shifts) for emergencies_

- _ Room to Grow At some point the Operations Manager is going to get tired and cranky and someone has to fill his shoes._

GOTTA HAVE:_**
- _ Fluent English (speaking and writing). Extra languages are a bonus_
- _ Experience (housekeeping, supervisory and customer service) - the more you have, the more we pay_
- _ Criminal Background Check_
- _ Valid Driver’s licence_
- _ Basic computer skills_

COMPENSATION_**
- $21-25/hr. We pay our entire team by the hour, not salary, and there’s a very good reason for this. Big businesses love Salaried jobs because it allows them to give the Management team tons of overtime and _
**_not pay an extra dollar_**:
- . We compensate our team for every hour worked, every time they’re called, and we don’t force our team to sit at work when there’s nothing to do because they have hours to punch. We want you to go adventuring._

WORK SCHEDULE_**
- Permanent Full-Time. Your schedule will generally call for 8-10 hours, but in exchange you usually receive 3 days off per week (climb, bike, kite, ski, instagramremember?). We also try to keep a consistent work schedule but at times the realities of running a hostel may require additional hours or days with short notice._
