We are hiring a Seasonal Equipment Operator for our 2025 Corn harvest

Sereda Farms Ltd. is an irrigated farm operated and managed by Kent Sereda and Holly White, located in Rolling Hills, Alberta. We take pride in our commitment to ongoing learning and teamwork. We strive to keep our equipment well-maintained, which helps reduce stress and enhances the overall experience for our operators.

We are currently seeking a team member with a desire to help us with our 2025 Corn Harvest. We are seeking an individual who can start in October and continue until November 30th.

**Reports To**:Kent Sereda - Owner

**Position Purpose and Objectives**:
This position is responsible for completing tasks relating to corn harvest and equipment maintenance.

**Duties Include (but not limited to)**:

- Operate farm equipment as required
- Operate John Deere 9870 Combine with corn header
- General maintenance, servicing and cleaning of farm equipment
- Maintain a positive work environment
- Maintain a safe work environment
- React to change productively and undertake other tasks as assigned

**Staff Reporting to this position**:

- None

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required**
- Experience running a combine
- Skilled in machinery operation and maintenance
- Familiarity with gps
- The ability to work in a variety of conditions, including working at heights, dusty conditions, outdoors in hot or cold weather
- Ability to lift 55 lbs
- Ability to work long hours during peak operating season
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as confidently take on tasks independently
