Reporting to the VP, Client Journeys and Agile Excellence Domain, the **AVP (Assistant Vice-President), Retail Wealth and Investments Technology** will closely partner with the Retail Wealth and Sun Life Global Investments businesses to support the vision of delivering seamless digital experiences and solutions across Sun Life Canada’s Retail Advice & Solutions (RAS) and Sun Life Global Investments (SLGI) business units.

**What do you need?**
- 15 or more years experience in increasingly senior and **strategic technology portfolio leadership** roles
- Senior level leadership of **Retail Wealth, Investments and/or Asset Management technology **platform integrations and strategies
- Senior level leadership of multiple technology integration teams across journeys, technical platforms, and hubs in a **scaled Agile** environment.
- Proven ability to navigate the complexities of a large matrix organization.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences or equivalent.
- MBA would be an asset

Competencies:

- Experience leading Retail Wealth, Investments and/or Asset Management platforms and strategies_
- Experience leading and overseeing wealth / investment technology platforms and strategies.
- Experience creating and/or governing a shared platform that spans multiple business units.
- Proven experience leading successful delivery teams using modern development practices.
- Ability to understand and integrate with the organization’s overall data architecture and data integration solutions.
- Experience leading teams in a scaled Agile and digital environment_
- Proven ability using agile software development methodologies, processes, ceremonies, and tools.
- Proven experience at a senior leadership level with scaled Agile delivery (SAFe, or other scaled Agile frameworks)
- Experience leading through organizational transformations and supporting employees in the required change management processes.
- Reputation for strong leadership and partnerships_
- Impactful strategic, technology and communication skills to interact with and influence all levels of the organization, including senior management and executives.
- A leader that communicates with an authentic style that breaks down silos and encourages open communication across IT and the Business.

- Experience leading large virtual teams spanning multiple global locations.

- Ability to design and explain complex scenarios with simplicity, to aid in understanding for the specific audience.
- Demonstrated experience with organizing and overseeing multiple initiatives simultaneously, in a high-pressure environment.
- Test and learn, experimentation mindset to enable teams to keep moving forward.

**What will you do?**
- Deliver an orchestrated client and advisor lifecycle across the Retail Wealth and SLGI product lines and channels, creating seamless and consistent experiences. Provide leadership and accountability across these digital journeys and platforms.
- Drive and execute multi-year technology strategies that (1) address client/advisor experience challenges, (2) enable One Sun opportunities across Sun Life Canada, and (3) accelerate Sun Life Canada’s wealth and investment growth ambitions. Oversee multiple Agile delivery squads that execute plans towards the north star vision.
- Understand the retail wealth and investment needs of Sun Life Canada and oversee the successful delivery of those technology capabilities.
- Lead the launch of the new securities platform for Sun Life Canada Securities Inc, strengthen the existing mutual fund dealer platform, and create a leading technology/data integration strategy for these businesses.
- Oversee the SLGI Advisor, Client and Institutional Investment journey and Investments platform, to enable SLGI to deliver leading retirement investment solutions across Canada

**Accountabilities**:

- Serve as a trusted advisor to our RAS and SLG
