Accounting Assistant

We are looking for an Accounting Assistant who is highly organized and performs a range of general clerical, accounting, and bookkeeping support functions in an organization.
**General accounts payable functions**
- Check, verify and process invoices
- Prepare payments
- Sort, code and enter accounts payable data
- Maintain vendor files
- Vendor statement reconciliations
- Consult with departments and vendors
**General accounts receivable functions**
- Prepare and submit customer invoices
- Code, post and receive payments
- Prepare and coordinate deposit activities
- General Audit of Job P&L
- Consult with customers
**Education and Experience**
- 2 - 3 years experience in clerical accounting
- Degree in business or accounting
- MS Office
- knowledge of Sage Intacct, Sage 50, or QuickBooks experience, preferred
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting and bookkeeping principles and procedures
- Excellent command of English, written and oral

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
