Digital Creative and Production Lead

**Education Level**

Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Multimedia, a College Diploma in Applied Art & Design, Graphic Design & Web Development, Photography, Videography, Art and Design or a related field

**Experience**

Requires a minimum of 3 to 5 years of prior professional experience

Experienced videographer, photographer and graphic design including using Adobe suite of design tools to generate meaningful and impactful digital content
- Experienced in WordPress Content Management System and web and social media analytics_

**Job Summary**

As a key member of the Faculty of Health Sciences Communications team, the _Digital Creative_ and Production Lead_ _will be responsible for overseeing and contributing to the strategic production and creative approach to visual content, including video, photography and graphic design, to advance Faculty priorities and to further support the specific needs of the Communications team. The role creates diverse content for the Faculty to reach a variety of audiences, including researchers, faculty & staff, learners, alumni, and external partners and audiences. This position is responsible for helping to enhance the Faculty’s profile and its local, national and global reputation for excellence in education, research, and patient care.

**Accountabilities**:

- Oversee and deliver the team’s creative work, including video, photography and graphic design
- Own and execute in-house design deliverables for creative projects, video productions, design, photography and desktop publishing
- Be strategic in developing work priorities and creative projects
- Manage timelines and logistics of all creative projects and multitask competing project timelines
- Participate in meetings with stakeholders to understand goals and to establish a creative direction and timeline for projects
- Present storyboard concepts to Communications leadership and key project stakeholders. Gather feedback and incorporate into planning
- Area of expertise in more than one visual skill set required
- Responsible for tactical content creation and output (photo, video, graphic design)
- Work and coordinate with outside agencies and freelance creative support as needed
- Manage equipment needs and distribution/access to software
- Use project management tools to track projects and to meet deadlines
- Provide training and support to other staff members, Faculty communications partners as needed
- Research and implement current trends and practices to produce effective visual communication pieces
- Participate in Communications and/or university/faculty projects such as project teams, committees, and work teams
- Location scouting, as needed
- Staying on top of evolving public health restrictions to assume safe filming and photo shoots
