We are looking for a **Human Resources/ Payroll Coordinator** to support our HR and payroll functions. This position will collaborate closely with the Human Resource Manager to assist in operational and organizational planning, working in partnership with Payroll and other stakeholders. The Human Resources/ Payroll Coordinator will also play a key role in supporting HR activities for the upcoming North Shore Family Respite Centre.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Coordinate full-cycle recruitment processes
- Oversee employee onboarding procedures
- Provide payroll support and administration
- Administer group benefits programs
- Maintain Human Resource databases
- Support labour relations initiatives
- Manage attendance and claims processes
- Support compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
**Qualifications**:
- Significant course work toward a university degree in Human Resources or a related field and/or a Human Resources certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution and/ or combination of work experience.
- One (1) to three (3) years administrative experience.
**Skills and Abilities**:
- Knowledge of HR management principles, best practices, and collective agreements.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build effective working relationships.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong time management and organizational abilities.
- Physical capability to perform the duties required of the position.
The working location is at 15th Avenue & Granville Street, Vancouver, BC.
