The Building Maintenance Position is responsible for maintaining the building. They will perform a variety of duties which include: plumbing, minor carpentry, repairs on furniture, fixtures, and equipment in common areas.

**Shift Timings

A TYPICAL DAY WILL INCLUDE:

- Inspect, examine and troubleshoot equipment to find and investigate problems or breakdowns and to ensure that safety and quality standards are met.
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance
- Install machinery/equipment
- Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete
- General framing
- Pulling new wire through the building for electricians and IT department
- Repairing door handles, and door frames
- Replace water and air filters
- Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair
- Responsible for engaging in manufacturing support activities connected with the setup, installation and maintenance of production and related equipment.
- Perform equipment adjustments and changeovers as required
- Minor repairs and maintenance including minor carpentry, changing/replacing locks, changing, all in-suite repairs and maintenance requests, fixing drywall, touch ups and painting, caulking where required, and flooring repairs, prepare and maintain office and production facility
- Minor plumbing including repairs, faucet systems, sinks, for all areas, un-plug toilets.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS FOR SUCCESS:

- Be comfortable performing maintenance calls independently or as part of a team
- Have experience troubleshooting and diagnosing low-voltage electrical systems
- Ability to problem solve
- Comfortable working in a production area (temperature, humidity, noise etc.)
- Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal in English
- Ability to prioritize under pressure and tight deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to safely, effectively and efficiently operate all equipment associated with the position.
- **Prior Experience doing building maintenance and manual labor both indoors and outdoors.**:

- Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs.
