**Responsibilities**:

- Perform light maintenance work including plumbing, carpentry, painting, and plastering
- Change light bulbs, install paper dispensers, change filters, and replace door locks
- Conduct minor decorative maintenance tasks
- Perform preventative maintenance on building infrastructure
- Identify and correct unsafe working conditions under management supervision
- Assist with special events as needed
- Support skilled workers and subcontractors/vendors when required
- Perform moving services as necessary
- Attend training programs (both classroom and virtual) to enhance skills and knowledge
- Comply with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures
- Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures
- Participate in regular safety meetings, safety training, and hazard assessments
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment
- Report any equipment malfunctions or building issues to management promptly
- Assist in maintaining inventory of maintenance supplies and materials
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient completion of tasks
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests in a timely manner
- Document completed work orders and maintenance activities accurately
- Continuously improve maintenance processes and procedures to enhance efficiency

Sodexo is growing We are looking for a General Building Maintenance Worker to join our dynamic team. This position is a casual position. You are a dynamic and reliable person with good communication and interpersonal skills. You are committed to quality assurance and safety.

During your mandate, you will be asked to perform light maintenance work including plumbing, carpentry, painting and plastering. You will be required to perform tasks such as, but not limited to, changing light bulbs, installing paper dispensers, changing filters, changing door locks, performing minor decorative maintenance ,performing preventative maintenance on building infrastructor and other tasks that do not require a journeyperson or skilled tradesperson. You will identify and correct unsafe working conditions under the supervision of management. You will be required to assist at special events as needed, assist skilled workers and subcontractors/vendors. You will also be responsible for performing moving services as required.

You will be attending training programs (classroom and virtual) as needed, comply with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures, perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures, participate in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned as required

You must have a high school diploma, GED or equivalent experience. Minimum of one-year related experience. Bilingualism is an asset and you must have the ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
