Clinical Application Analyst

The Meditech** Clinical Application Analyst** is an integral member of the Regional Digital Health (RDH) Clinical Informatics and Applications. As a member of the RDH lead agency team, the RDH Clinical Informatics and Applications team has a synergistic working relationship with areas and stakeholders across the four-hospitals they support, ensuring collaboration and striving to improve workflow with system optimization.

This position requires direct communication with all the Regional Digital Health Services teams, including the RVH Lead agency RDH Service Desk staff, partner sites IT services desks, clinical staff, providers, functional experts, leaders, project managers, and other support personnel. It is essential that commitments are maintained in a manner which fosters mutual trust between fellow employees. - Analysis of user-departmental workflow processes and ability to translate into systems-based efficiencies through automation.

You must have access to reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license. You may be assigned to an alternate main site temporarily at the discretion of the CARE4 Partnership leadership and therefore willingness and flexibility to support the four hospitals organizational needs.

**Education**:

- Undergraduate degree or diploma in a clinically related field, health informatics or computer science or equivalent or IT related field and/or three years’ experience in Clinical Informatics and Applications Meditech Support Role required

**Experience**:

- Experience developing in MEDITECH Expanse preferred
- Experience and understanding of ITIL, Change Management and Project Management philosophies and methodologies
- Experience with Mirth Integration and HL7/ XML
- Using industry programming languages (VB, JavaScript, C#, C++, Objective C) and methodology, develop tools to solve hospital business problems, an asset
- Advanced use of Microsoft office preferred
- Experience with business analysis and requirements documentation is an asset
- Experience with analyzing data to identify trends, gaps and information that can drive positive change
- Understanding of a risk matrix and risk mitigation strategies
- Healthcare experience is required

Competencies:

- Microsoft Suite of Products, VMware, Windows Operating Systems, Mirth certified preferred, Biztalk, HL7 standards
- Project Management & Change Management Certified preferred
- Adult Teaching or Training certificate an asset
- Excellent customer relations and support service preferred
- Consistently display behaviour that enhances the image of organization as evidenced by professional and courteous behaviour toward all customers.
- Evidence of on-going professional development
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English
- Excellent skill in problem recognition and problem solving, including critical incident management.
- Self -motivated and able to work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Demonstrated contributor to a positive team spirit and attitude and lives the RVH Values
- Ability and experience demonstrated through positive performance appraisals, work history and attendance records.
- Experience working with highly integrated teams.
- Must be able to manage several projects/tasks at one time
