As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a skilled Electrical Systems Technician to join our team of electrical, lighting, water engineering, and automation specialists. We are also seeking students who are working to achieve their electrical license who are interested in an apprenticeship opportunity.

**Position Overview**: The Electrical Systems Technician will play a crucial role in our Electrical and Irrigation Division, focusing on medium and low voltage electrical systems, controls, and automation. This individual will be responsible for troubleshooting, servicing, and commissioning electrical, controls, and automation work within the greenhouse sector. The role will involve working with a wide range of technologies, including greenhouse electrical installations, horticultural automation, greenhouse sensors and technology, smart greenhouse systems, irrigation technology, grow lights, and climate technology. Applicants must hold or be working towards achieving a 309A or 442A license.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Perform service work and troubleshooting on electrical, controls, and automation systems in greenhouse environments.
- Assist in the design, project preparation, installation, commissioning, and servicing of greenhouse projects.
- Work with a variety of technologies, including greenhouse electrical systems, automation systems, climate controls, irrigation technology, grow lights, and more.
- Ensure the seamless integration of all technologies for efficient greenhouse operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions to our clients.
- Working with sub-trades to coordinate installations & services.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in horticultural technology.

**Qualifications**:

- Education in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field or equivalent experience.
- Electrician's License (309A or 442A) preferred.
- Medium Voltage Training and Certification.
- Safety certifications such as WHMIS, First Aid/CPR, and Electrical Safety Training.
- Knowledge of the Ontario Electrical Safety Code.
- Experience working with medium and low voltage electrical systems.
- Proficiency in controls and automation systems.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of greenhouse operations and horticultural technology is preferred.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
