Aware Overnight Respite Care

The Awake Overnight Respite Caregiver (Part-time) is responsible for delivering personal care to a child with complex medical needs in a compassionate and respectful manner at home or in hospitals.
**Skills can be trained but compassion can not be taught.**Therefore, we are looking for a caregiver with the right characteristics:
- loving, patient, gentle and non-judgmental
- honest, mature and dependable
- flexible and resourceful
**Job Duties**:
Applicants must be able to lift 50 pounds, overnight respite care duties include but are not limited to:
- chest physio
- suctioning
- oxygen & BiPAP machine
- cough assist
- G-tube feeding
- medication
- seizure care and monitoring
- repositioning & massage & exercise & muscle relaxation
- personal hygiene - bathing, oral care, dressing, hair care, diaper change, and skin care
**Qualifications**:
- **Criminal Record & Background Checks**: A clear criminal record check, including vulnerable sector screening conducted within the last three months, is required.
**Summary**
In the role of part-time Overnight Respite Care, you will provide essential nighttime caregiving support to my child with complex medical needs, ensuring her safety and comfort. With some patient care training and experience with disabilities, you will administer medication and perform personal care tasks according to our home care routine. Your compassionate and attentive care will offer our family much-needed respite. We look forward to hearing from you.

Pay: From $22.50 per hour
**Experience**:
- health care aid: 2 years (preferred)

- HCA certification (preferred)
