**Respite Support Worker in Northwest.**
If you are passionate about providing quality care to individuals in need, we invite you to join our team as a Respite Support Worker. This position offers the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others while gaining valuable experience in the healthcare and Disability Services field.
**This position is full-time during the school strike, with hours from 6 AM to 5 or 6 PM. Once schools return to their normal schedule, the position will transition to a split shift: Monday through Friday, covering morning care from 6 AM to 8:30 AM and afternoon care from 3 PM to 6 PM.**
**A valid driver's license, clean Abstract, Proof of Insurance and reliable transportation are required.**
G tube training and Medication administration preferred.
**Duties**:
- Provide respite care services to children between the ages of 2-17 years old
- Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Plan activities based on the clients interests and abilities
**Skills**:*experience preferred but not required
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and empathetic nature towards individuals in need of care
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect for client privacy
**Requirements**:
First Aid, Police Check with Vulnerable Sector, CFS intervention Check, Drivers license and Reliable vehicle
**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent, Casual
Pay: $20.50-$24.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
