Evidence Partners® Inc. is the market leader in AI-enabled literature review automation software and creator of DistillerSR.
Literature reviews are the cornerstone of evidence-based research, but their production has traditionally been highly manual, time consuming, and error prone. Today, more than 300 of the world’s leading research organizations, including more than 60 percent of the largest pharmaceutical and medical device companies, trust DistillerSR to securely produce transparent, audit-ready, and regulatory compliant literature reviews faster and more accurately than any other method.
**The Role**
Reporting to the Director Operations, the Vendor Manager will play a critical role in managing vendor assessment activities and maintaining both new and existing vendor relationships. In addition, the Vendor Manager will identify suitable back-office vendors as required, negotiate with vendors to secure the best prices for products and services, and ensure that vendors fulfill their contractual obligations. The Vendor Manager will also have responsibility for management of Evidence Partners’ physical site.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Managing the vendor assessment process, driving timely results with audit-ready documentation.
- Supporting internal stakeholders during completion of vendor assessments.
- Researching, or working with, vendors to assess their products or services.
- Negotiating pricing and communicating any product or service-related concerns.
- Developing and sustaining long-standing relationships with company-approved vendors.
- Communicating with new vendors, and monitoring existing vendors, to ensure compliance with company policies.
- Performing corporate purchasing and managing non-IT assets.
- Establishing standards to assess performance of approved vendors.
- Evaluating current vendor management programs and identifying ways to improve them.
- Managing physical site logistics (e.g., configuration and materials supply).
- Managing site security and access.
- Liaising with property management and contractors.
- Note: Duties are not limited to those listed above. Additional duties may be assigned as required. _
- However, reasonable consultations with personnel will be made if possible, under business conditions_
**Skills & Qualifications (Education and Experience)**
- 5+ years experience working as a vendor manager or a combination of education and experience acceptable to Evidence Partners.
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, marketing, business administration, or a related field acceptable to the company.
- The ability to multitask effectively.
- Strong negotiation, management, and decision-making skills.
- **Asset**: Experience working with SaaS products in an Agile environment.
