As our Scrum Lead of Digital Claims, you’ll help us transform our health & dental claims experience to be the customer and digital leader within our industry. As our Scrum Lead, you are a natural coach and teacher. You love helping teams learn, grow and thrive.
You will work alongside a cross-functional team of Product Owners, Engineers, Quality Engineers and Analysts, helping the teams to clear blocker s and self-reflect on ways to continuously improve to deliver value sooner. You’ll also work with Value Stream leaders to clear systemic blockers across teams to improve flow, helping the teams to stay focused on delivering value for our customers.
**Accountabilities**:
- Coaches and supports 2-3 Development teams
- Coaches different levels of hierarchy through agile principles & practices
- Proactively provides real-time feedback to keep delivery on track and address issues as they arise
- Reinforces target agile behaviors
- Facilitates the adoption of agile principles & practices
- Helps educate the squad on Agile practices and identifies Agile Team improvement opportunities
- Focuses squads on value creation
- Facilitates and actively participates in Agile events, workshops and townhalls
- Identifies obstacles to team/s performance; facilitates resolution and escalates where necessary
- Guides and empower the flow of a cross-functional feature team, providing a clear view of success and removing obstacles towards that end
- Provides continual visibility into feature delivery, ensuring the right people are engaged at the right time
- Collaborates with software engineers, platform engineers, Product Owners, and engineering leadership to uncover pain points and opportunities to accelerate the delivery of new value through software
- Actively participates in sprints and partners with Product Owners to enable the delivery of prioritized features
- Support teams with adopting Scaled Agile Framework ( SAFe ) methodologies
- Acts as a servant leader to the team
**Requirements**:
- At least 5-7 years with experience as a Scrum Master delivering complex technology solutions with a University Degree or College diploma
- Strong working knowledge of key aspects of agile coaching and facilitation
- Staying abreast of developments in own technical discipline and able to recognize and translate these to own working environment
- Experience in handling squads involving stakeholders from multiple locations
- Any of the following will be an advantage:
- Agile methodology certifications (CSM, CSPO, SAFe, LeSS, etc )
- Insurance Industry experience
- ITIL Certification
- Working knowledge of business intelligence, business process, and/or correspondence management platforms and integrating systems via API/web services.
- Jira expert & k nowledge of Agile planning and tracking tools
- Good verbal and written communication; able to effectively articulate technical vision, possibilities, and outcomes
