**DESCRIPTION**:
Under the direction and leadership of the Foreman, the Apprentice Carpenter assumes responsibility for all general carpentry duties required on commercial scope construction projects. They will ensure work tasks are performed safely in accordance with Occupational Health and Safety Legislation and company policies and that work is performed with a high level of quality and timeliness.

**Working Conditions**
- Full time work week
- Overtime as required
- Working both indoors and outdoors in hot and cold weather conditions
- Working in and around noise and dust

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Assist in the renovations of modular building components including floors, walls and roofs
- Assist in the installation of sheeting materials including sub floors, wall sheeting and roofing sheeting using various materials
- Assist in the assembly of doors, windows, trim, and mill work including the hardware and painting
- Gather material needed for renovation of units
- Installation of small finishing items
- Clean and detail units
- Use hand and power tools
- Follow all safety procedures
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**
- Registered Carpenter Apprentice
- Ability to successfully pass a Drug & Alcohol screening for site work
- A minimum of 2+ years construction & renovation experience
- Valid Fall protection, CSTS-0.9/20, WHMIS 2015, and Standard First Aid an asset
- Ability to take direction and follow through on instructions
- General construction safety knowledge
- Committed dedication to safety; reflected in practice and experience

- Ability to work independently in a demanding environment

**Physical Requirements**
- Stand or walk for long periods of time
- Ability to stand, crouch, and kneel for long periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 25kg
- Climbing stairs/ladders regularly
- Exposure to hazards such as heights, power tools, slips, falls, falling objects, and sharp hand tools

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Acheson, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (required)
